The IT Specialist plays a vital role in making this happen by keeping our IT systems running smoothly across all practice locations. In this role, you’ll support staff with technical solutions, maintain secure IT infrastructure, and implement new technologies to enhance patient care and practice efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, networks, hardware, and practice management software across all locations.
- Cloud Support: Partner with our external vendor to monitor and manage cloud-based systems and data security.
- User Support: Deliver prompt, hands-on technical assistance to team members for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Cybersecurity: Implement best-practice security measures to protect patient information and practice data.
- Software Management: Install, configure, and update all dental and administrative software.
- Network Connectivity: Maintain stable, secure connections for all practice locations.
- Training: Develop and lead training sessions to help staff get the most out of new technologies and practice software.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date records of IT configurations, policies, and support procedures.
- Vendor Coordination: Work closely with technology vendors on equipment purchasing, service contracts, and issue resolution.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of IT support experience, ideally in a healthcare or dental practice setting.
- Proficiency with network management and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure and Microsoft 365 preferred).
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity protocols and compliance.
- Experience supporting dental practice management software.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while supporting a team environment.
