Position Overview:

The Document Control Support Specialist will be a member of our new Magnetics business headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. This is a rare opportunity to have an early role in developing and implementing the document control system for a greenfield advanced manufacturing facility that is shaping the future of American manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on team member with experience in an ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 compliant 24/7 industrial operation. The Document Control Support Specialist transacts Enterprise Document Management for all capital project related company and supplier documents which includes preparation, maintenance, distribution, control, and storage according to the Quality Management System.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Document Control System within the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Ensure the Document Control System is compliant with all required third party certifications, including ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Work closely with peers and customers to ensure drawing control is maintained.
  • Ensure the Document Control System and related procedures are updated, revised, and modified as needed to meet the needs of both customers and external certification bodies, while ensuring the simplicity and ease of execution that facilitates their consistent use.
  • Understand customer requirements and deadlines and develop execution strategies and timelines to meet them.
  • Release and maintain controlled documentation and standardized forms for capital project programs to ensure consistency and uniformity.
  • Transfer all project documentation to the designated Document Control system for centralized management and tracking.
  • Implement and adhere to a comprehensive numbering system for projects, documentation, records, and drawings specific to capital projects to facilitate organization and retrieval.
  • This role will work closely with the engineering teams to maintain and control project documents for receipt, deployment to operations, and archive introduction into the Document Control program.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of related experience in document and record management.
  • Computer proficiency and data entry skills.
  • Keen sense of process flow and practical requirements.
  • Good understanding of human factors.
  • Previous work in industrial settings.
  • Highly organized.

Desired Qualities:

  • Control Plan and FMEA understanding.
  • ISO 9001 Document Control Requirements.
  • Drawing Control experience.
  • Experience with document control systems such as COREWORX, PROCORE, OMNEX, or HEXAGON Ecosys.
  • Understanding of manufacturing controls.
  • Operations and Capital Projects document control experience with document storage and approval workflow.
