Job Summary 

Responsible for creation and maintenance of provider EPIC schedules and generation of performance reports for providers and applicable testing departments within assigned area. Generates detailed reports, provides analysis and consultation to management in support of organizational goals and initiatives. Ensures optimal patient access to care through regular access reporting, efficient build and maintenance of Epic scheduling templates, maintenance of patient facing Find A Doctor system, and access to self-scheduling & chatbot capabilities.

Essential Functions 

  • Practice Management Software: Creates, modifies, and maintains scheduling templates. Creates access reports, analyzes results, and makes recommendations for improvement. Serves as subject matter expert, providing insight to how the software can be leveraged to achieve access goals.
  • Performance Monitoring: Maintains master schedule templates for providers within assigned area, ensuring compliance with access standards. Monitors schedule changes performed at practice site locations; Communicates with site leadership when those changes compromise access. Generates and shares referral reports as appropriate
  • Access Initiatives: Facilitates access where the scheduling system is involved (i.e.: direct scheduling through MyChart, Find A Doc). Maintains online consumer engagement tools (i.e.: Chatbot, Find A Doc) Serves as a credible resource to assist providers and staff at site locations with scheduling issues. Educates offices in the use of open access scheduling and supports transitions to new scheduling methods.
  • Service Initiatives: Solicits and/or generate data and reports as needed to support work of Ambulatory Access Solutions Department

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Experience using practice management software to register & schedule patients. Demonstrate competency using practice management and business software applications with mastery level skill in Excel.
