WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Our ideal Private Client Advisor is responsible for serving the company’s top-producing clients by providing high-touch, personalized service to an assigned client list. The Private Client Advisor will proactively curate product sets and product offers tailored to clients’ interests and needs. Our Private Client Advisor will demonstrate a deep, up to date knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and vintages with an emphasis on top-tier producers and collectible wines. If you are a self-starter with strong customer service skills, market awareness, adaptability to new technologies, and a willingness to be accountable for results, we want to hear from you!
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively cultivate, engage, and support top-producing clients.
- Provide an engaging and personalized shopping experience by presenting custom product sets and product offers in alignment with clients’ needs and preferences.
- Exhibit high-touch customer service skills across communication platforms – phone, email, in person.
- Routinely convert orders, maintain account productivity, and close sales.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
- Initiate regular contact with clients to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Successfully leverage warm leads to grow client list.
- Effectively manage client objectives, expectations, and timelines.
- Identifiy selling opportunities through an ongoing evaluation of the inventory within the framework given by supervisor.
- Leverage domestic and international suppliers to curate tailored product selections for clients.
- Create compelling sales offers for individual clients and contribute to content development for shared promotional offers.
- Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and vintages with an emphasis on top tier producers, rare, and collectible wines.
- Generate and manage orders across fulfillment channels: pre-arrival, auction, will call, local delivery, shipping, personal sommelier, wine club, and locker transactions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Outstanding customer service and account management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; engaging phone presence.
- Skillful problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Experienced in Office 365 and Tableau.
- Ability to work early/late or varied days on occasion based on business needs.
- Professional certification (WSET, CMS, CSW, CWE) or equivalent knowledge derived through work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to perform desk-based work for all or the majority of an 8-hour shift.
- Ability to concentrate on individual tasks and make and receive phone calls in an open plan office environment.
- Dexterity to enter and retrieve data using a computer keyboard and to operate standard office equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
- Ability to load, unload, and operate a hand truck safely.
