Who We Are Looking For:

Within ANM’s Special Systems Team, the Field Supervisor ensures that all field projects are developed, implemented, installed, and managed in accordance with the Company’s requirements, including but not limited to safety, quality, management, and labor hours performance requirements. All aspects of the assigned project(s) must be carried out as efficiently as possible with respect to staffing, materials management, customer care, and customer delivery goals.

 

What You Will Do as a Field Supervisor:

 

  • The Field Supervisor will recruit, hire, train, manage, supervise, promote, discipline, and discharge, if necessary, project-related staff. Effectively manage all human resource issues (and escalate as needed) according to the company's policies and procedures. Complete recommendations for project-related employees’ performance ratings, promotions, and recommend any pay changes. Provide guidance and mentoring to meet all customer and Company goals and objectives.
  • The Field Supervisor will manage the workload distribution and monitor the customer delivery and job installation progress.  Communicating regularly with the project Managers assigned to each project.  
  • The Field Supervisor will plan for, manage, monitor, and maintain staffing hours to appropriate project budgets. 
  • The Field Supervisor will manage all related quality and safety issues on customer work.
  • The Field Supervisor acts as the Company liaison for interfacing with customer representative(s).
  • The Field Supervisor will regularly do on-site job visits to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency of the project and team. 
  • On occasion, the Field Supervisor may need to step in and supplement a team working under their supervision.  
  • The Field Supervisor is the technical escalation point for their teams and needs to be familiar with technical codes, safety requirements, job-specific requirements, and industry best practices for the work being done.    
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

 

Day in the life:

Approving Payroll, reviewing expense reports, joining internal and external kickoff meetings, SOW reviews, vendor training, PM coordination and follow-up, site visits, leadership meetings, scheduling meetings, lead and team meetings, being a technical resource for the team, and customer service. Provide technical oversight on job-related tasks assigned to technicians, including documentation quality, installation standards, etc.  Conduct pre-installation site surveys and post-installation walkthroughs with clients.   Overall, ensure that jobs are safely completed to the quality standards of ANM.  

 

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

 

  • Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency; a bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • New Mexico Journeyman achieved RCDD and other industry certifications are helpful.  
  • Must have experience in customer interfacing, such as being a liaison between the customer and the Company.
  • Must possess a minimum of five (3) years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Must have field experience in Security and Access Control, with five (5) years of experience with low-voltage data and telecommunications wiring.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Procore, Salesforce, and SmartSheets.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Must have demonstrated verifiable ability to review and validate scopes of work, hours needed to perform tasks, and be able to read and understand blueprints and the specifications of a project. 

 

 

Working Conditions:

The standard work environment for this position is an indoor business office and a construction environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee may, on occasion, be required to enter tight, confined spaces and climb ladders. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 

Travel:

Must have a valid driver’s license and motor vehicle insurance. Must be able to travel overnight, as needed.
