Plant Quality Engineer/Supervisor - Afternoons
Support daily production activities across all production lines on afternoon shift. Work closely with the customer and supporting functions.

Position offers a starting salary range of $104,000 - $133,000 USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

  • Leads team on Afternoons by effectively communicating and aligning Production related activities from shift to shift and within the Afternoon shift.
  • Direct Supervision of Afternoon shift PVL auditors and Afternoon shift Gage Inspection/Instrument Repair groups.
  • Support Quality Feedback Loops throughout Production.
  • Utilizes statistics and analysis of processes using QDAS, i.e. capability, R&R studies.      
  • Directs in-plant technical investigations of major quality problems that occur during the course of the shift or from an alignment handover, and communicate these common quality concerns to Management. Assists in the analysis, correlation and reporting of quality problems.   
  •  Reviews engineering drawings, specifications and factory working methods for adherence to corporate quality assurance standards. 
  • Manages the implementation of new and/or improved systems and procedures of quality assurance within the plant.
  • Participates in PSO/PPR teams for process sign off Interact with Engineers, Managers, and Vendors.
  • Perform special projects as required.
  • Participate in plant quality improvement activities including TOS.

  • Coordinates quality objectives with other departments
  • Drives continuous improvement by developing and implementing error and mistake proofing
  • Keeps management aware of progress, developments and pending problems
  • Drive issues to closure through the various quality feedback loops
  • Analyzes assembly process data to look for trends or possible upcoming concerns.
  • Works with Advanced Quality Tools (i.e., PFMEAs) to ensure a quality assembly process
  • Keeps management informed of progress, developments and pending problems
  • Facilitate others in the executions of Quality Improvement activities
  • Work in a plant environment, working hands-on
  • Support QFLs 1-5

 

Knowledge You Should Bring:

  • Bachelors or Associate Degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Programming experience with data analytics
  • Project launch experience
  • High knowledge of MSA/SPC/PFMEA/GD&T
  • Collaborative worker, motivated for success, positive outlook
