Key Responsibilities
As a Permitting Coordinator, you will assist the Permitting Specialist by:
- Gathering necessary documents and information for permit applications
- Completing preliminary sections of permit paperwork for review
- Monitoring permit status updates and notifying appropriate teams of progress or delays
- Scheduling inspection appointments in coordination with internal teams
- Communicating with municipalities to confirm submittal requirements and procedures
- Filing and organizing permit documentation digitally and physically
- Providing support in coordinating with other departments to align permit needs with project timelines
- Assisting with follow-ups on outstanding permits, revisions, or inspection requests
- Running errands as needed to local permitting offices for submissions, pickups, or information gathering
Requirements
Qualifications
- 6+ months of administrative, clerical, or permitting-related experience (construction or roofing experience is a plus)
- Basic understanding of local permitting processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based document systems
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
