Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a social media strategy that elevates our mission and team, furthering recruiting and business goals across brand and executive platforms
- Develop and manage the social content calendar and day-to-day publishing across platforms
- Collaborate with marketing, business development, government relations, product, people operations, and engineering stakeholders to develop content for milestones, engineering breakthroughs, launches, and cultural moments
- Write and edit social copy (threads, posts, captions) for brand and executive channels
- Capture and generate new visual and graphic assets to drive a robust content pipeline
- Work with designers, photographers, videographers, and editors to grow visual storytelling, in alignment with the brand’s creative direction
- Engage thoughtfully with audiences and maintain a professional presence in industry conversations
- Develop and implement a creator/content partner strategy in parallel to traditional media efforts to support marketing, business, and recruiting efforts
- Track performance and iterate on content for brand and business impact
- Partner with engineering and legal teams to ensure content highlights technical achievements while meeting ITAR, IP, and compliance standards
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors' of arts degree or related field
- 4+ years of demonstrated experience managing social media
- 4+ years of demonstrated skills in writing & storytelling; with attention to tone, clarity and accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to define, shape and execute a cohesive creative direction across social channels
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and execute on a rapid timeline in a start-up/dynamic environment
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 6+ years of demonstrated experience managing social media at hardware companies
- 2+ years of demonstrated media and content experience within aerospace, engineering, hardware, automotive or emerging technologies
- Photography and videography experience; particularly creating short-form, social-first content
- Demonstrated familiarity with legal and compliance frameworks like ITAR, EAR, and IP protection
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
Impulse Space’s spacecraft manufacturing business is subject to U.S. export regulations including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR). This position requires applicants to be either U.S. Persons (i.e., U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent U.S. resident (green card holder), an individual granted asylum in the U.S., or an individual admitted in U.S. refugee status) or persons eligible to obtain an export license from the U.S. Departments of State, Commerce, or other applicable U.S. government agencies.
