The Marriott Orlando Downtown Hotel is looking for a Night Audit Supervisor. This position will provide exceptional service and a positive impression of the hotel by building memorable connections with all guests.  This position has a direct impact on the overall guest experience and the oversight of the hotel on the overnight shift, and is responsible for ensuring 100% satisfaction for the entire duration of a guest’s stay. The Night Audit Supervisor is responsible for driving all of the Hotel's Benchmarks for Guest Satisfaction and for insuring that all of the Hotel Metrics are to the Brand Standards including all hotel reporting required in the position. 

 

Full Job Description

What you will be doing

  • Audit, balance, post and report on food and beverage charges to ensure accuracy and proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Audit, balance, post and report on the room charges including phone calls, zero balance folios, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures to ensure accuracy and proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Complete, balance and file night audit reports including over/short figures, deposits, counts, house charges, and promotional materials.
  • Prepare and input statistics and income journal sheets for preparation of daily reports.
  • Perform the duties of a Front Desk Agent including greeting, registering and assigning rooms in accordance with policies and procedures. Use suggestive selling skills and company sales programs to maximize revenue and occupancy levels.
  • Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
  • Answer the telephone and transfer callers.
  • On time and at work when scheduled and in proper uniform.
  • Attend department meetings as scheduled.
  • Consistent professional and positive attitude and actions when communicating with guests, vendors and associates.
  • Comply with policies and procedures. Practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary, safety, security and emergency procedures. Write shift reports including reports on any incidents of theft, accidents or injuries when assigned. Check with manager / supervisor before leaving work area for any reason.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Participate in task forces and committees as requested.
  • Any other tasks / duties as requested by management.
  • Act as the Supervisor on Duty for total hotel oversight on the shift.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

  • CUSTOMER SERVICE: Meet service quality standards that affect guest satisfaction; respond to guest questions or problems in a timely, professional manner.
  • WORK HABITS: Meet the hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, attendance, and punctuality; report to work and return from breaks on time; give advance notice when absence is anticipated; require typical amount of supervision; accept work assignments without complaints.
  • PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT: Accept opportunities to learn new skills, improve performance or cross-train for other hotel positions; solve routine problems that occur on the job; ask questions when not sure how to complete something; learn new skills as quickly as most others in the same job.
  • SAFETY AND SECURITY: Be alert to hazards and responsible in carrying out hotel’s safety, security, and emergency procedures; suggest ways to improve safety conditions that reduce or prevent accidents and injuries; participate on safety committee or other special projects for safety; actively seek and report potential security risks or hazardous conditions.
  • FRONT DESK OPERATIONS: Follow the hotel’s recommended guest arrival and departure procedures; understanding of computer-based front desk systems is sufficient to perform the primary responsibilities of the job; answer guests’ questions about the hotel services and amenities.
  • NIGHT AUDIT PROCEDURES: Follow proper audit procedures to balance the hotel’s daily revenue and expense transactions; make few errors in the balancing process; identify the causes of out-of-balance situations in a timely manner; produce various reports for management.
  • NIGHT AUDIT SUPERVISION: Maintain high morale for Night Audit staff; teach Night Audit staff how to operate computerized reservations and hotel management system; solicit suggestions or input

Prior Experience Required :

       2 Years of Prior Night Audit Experience in a Full Service Branded Hotel

       System Experience in Marriott PMS, Marsha, GXP and M3 is a plus. 

Must be willing to have full availability Sunday to Saturday from 10pm to 8am. Typically will work an 8 hour shift that will require weekends.
