DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Review work lists with Supervisors.
• Schedule daily delegation or workload.
• Coordinate with Local Operations on delivery and pick up schedule and monitor manpower requirements.
• Select items from stock according to reservations and sales & assembles orders for issue and shipment according to instructions.
• Conveys materials using equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, dollies or other mechanical warehouse equipment.
• Must have thorough knowledge of equipment loading to reduce breakage and to make unloading at the jobsite easier.
• Assist with proper loading of delivery trucks and securing of equipment.
• Know specifics and applications of rental inventory, so you can answer questions on delivery.
• Receive and open shipping containers. Verify counts from driver’s load.
• Receive all paperwork and funds collected from COD orders. Deliver funds to Accounting Personnel.
• Restocks equipment according to company procedure.
• Supervise personnel and mediate disputes or problems.
• Train staff on proper loading and unloading procedures. See that procedures are being followed.
• Train staff on proper cleaning procedures and oversee follow through.
• Keep warehouse and dock area clean and neat.
• Oversees the inventory of merchandise and advises manager of low levels of merchandise.
• Oversees the cleaning and servicing of vehicles and equipment.
• Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations.
• Fill in for other positions, when necessary, for smooth operation of business.
• Adhere to all company policies
• Assist customers with the loading and unloading of equipment when necessary. May also need to demonstrate safety features and operational features of equipment.
• If loading customer vehicle, securely fasten equipment in place.
• Accept delivery and in-store returns and place them in appropriate area for inspection.
• Deliver equipment when necessary.
• Maintaining an organized shop by returning tools and unused parts to the appropriate storage area.
• May, from time to time, perform minor repairs to equipment.
• Attend department safety meetings and report any safety violations to Manager.

Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent GED.
• Must have prior delivery or warehouse experience.
• Must be able to lift approx. 100lbs.
• Must be able to use mathematics to solve problems.
• Must maintain a professional appearance with clean Mahaffey uniforms.
• Must be able to speak English clearly and write legibly.
• Must pass company drug screen.
• Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
• Must have full range of motion and dexterity.
• Must be able to provide, understand and complete instructions furnished in written, oral or scheduled form.
• Maintain a cooperative working relationship with co-workers.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to maintain a high degree of patience and offer constructive criticism when necessary.
• Must display a high level of initiative, effort and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently.
