JOB SUMMARY
This position supports the AF DCGS Program at Robins AFB, GA.
- The Configuration Manager (Senior) shall provide CM support for assigned programs, projects, and weapon systems. Relevant experience includes duties related to: CM and Data Management (DM) activities to support AF LCM of weapon systems or weapon system products, identifying CM/DM requirements and deliverables for weapon systems, and validating and verifying CM/DM product deliveries to ensure adherence of the product to identified requirements. Familiarity with EIA-649-1 CM, DoDI 5000.88 Engineering of Defense Systems, MIL-HDBK-61 CM Guidance, the AF Data Rights Guidebook, AFMCI 63-1201 Implementing OSS&E, and Life Cycle Systems Engineering, the DoD Systems Engineering Guidebook section 4.1.6, DoD 5010.12-M Procedures for the Acquisition and Management of Technical Data, MIL-STD-31000B, Technical Data Packages, and the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) for AF SEAM.
- Works under the direct supervision of the prime contractor and government duty section lead.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- CM/DM experience supporting AF LCM of weapon systems or weapon system products, identifying CM/DM requirements and deliverables for weapon systems, and validating and verifying CM/DM product deliveries to ensure adherence of the product to identified requirements.
- Experience with tasks related to ensuring program compliance with EIA-649-1 CM, DoDI 5000.88 Engineering of Defense Systems, MIL-HDBK-61 CM Guidance, the AF Data Rights Guidebook, AFMCI63-1201 Implementing OSS&E, and Life Cycle Systems Engineering, the DoD Systems Engineering Guidebook section 4.1.6, DoD 5010.12-M Procedures for the Acquisition and Management of Technical Data, MIL-STD-31000B, Technical Data Packages, MIL-STD-963 Standard Practice for Data Item Descriptions (DIDs), DoD 5010.12-M Procedures for the Acquisition and Management of Technical Data, DoDI 5230.24 Distribution Statements on Technical Documents, and the AFLCMC Contract DM Standard Process Control activities as identified by the guidance listed above and applicable organizational policy, regulations, or guides.
- Create, update, review, and recommend changes to the CMP, IMP, organizational Data Strategy Plan (DSP), Intellectual Property and Data Rights strategies, organizational CCB policy or plans,
- Identify CM and DM requirements for programs and policy such as statements of work, acquisition strategy plans, acquisition management plans, program documentation and technical process guides
- Plan, conduct, and manage activities and data related to configuration verifications and audits including system verification reviews, functional for activity configuration audits, physical configuration audits, test plans, test procedures, specifications, engineering data, SW version description documents, SW media, and other technical data
- Manage the Configuration Control Board process for the assigned program and prepares/maintains relevant documents such as CCB Directives, Agenda, Minutes, member list, CCB Charter, presentation material, and other information for the CCB Chair; directly support the CCB Chair for activities supporting the CCB and CM activities
- Ensure that appropriate CM requirements are executed for all assigned programs and tasks
- Record performance, qualification, fabrication, and acceptance requirements for assigned systems to include producing SW release notes
- Recommend revisions to and drafts new CM procedures to meet new or unique program requirements
- Work with the Division CM to standardize organizational processes and tools
- Manage and track DRs and support all activities related to the Material Improvement Project Review Board (MIPRB), ensure compliance with TO 00-35D-54; provide input to the DR MIPRB Charter and recommend changes to ensure compliance with CM policy and best practices
- Provide, track, and manage data necessary to support CM, DM, QA, requirements analysis, risk management, and OSS&E activities to ensure compliance with the CMP and AF Systems Engineering Assessment Model (SEAM) best practices

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Systems Engineering Qualification
- The completion of DAU Certification CLCL 005 Supportability & Design Interface Credential.
- CM Certification in any of the categories below National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) CDM Certification, or
- Configuration Management Principles and Implementation Certification (CMPIC), or The completion of DAU Certification CLCL 010 Technical Data Management Credential.
- Master of Science or Master of Arts Degree, 12 years of experience, and 5 years of Department of Defense (DoD) experience; OR Bachelor’s degree, 15 years of experience and 5 years of DoD experience; OR Certifications, 20 years of experience, 8 years of DoD experience

SECURITY CLEARANCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a minimum of an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver’s license is required.
- Do you have the ability to pass a background check to be granted access to the specific working location installation bases to perform work for GMRE?

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
