Skills and Competencies
- Financial modeling skills and knowledge
- Economic research or relevant credit research experience
- Good statistics/econometric skills are an advantage
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal, and written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and handle workflow, to adapt to a changing environment, and prioritize tasks accordingly
- Strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
Education
- Students matriculating through college, studying towards a bachelor’s degree in economics, Public Accountancy, Business Administration, Political Economy, Actuarial sciences or pursuing master’s degree
- Ideally one year ahead of graduation.
Responsibilities
Supporting Analytical teams as needed. Examples of analytical work may include:
- Participate in case studies designed to further analytical understanding
- Work on various analytical, research, data, process related projects
- Collect data and identify trends to support well-thought-out credit conclusions
- Prepare financial documents, charts, and presentations
- Responsible for monitoring media outlets for news regarding special projects or portfolios
- Provide analytical and research support to the rating teams.
About the team
The Working Student will work with lead analysts and ratings associates on analytical and research-related duties, as well as on other activities. These include monitoring relevant news, participating in process-related projects, collecting data and identifying credit trends, and preparing charts, tables, and presentations. In conducting credit analysis, the working student is expected to contribute analytical and data-related inputs alongside lead analysts and ratings associates.
