Providing oversight for the simulation lab to ensure accuracy and consistency of skills.
Ensuring that policies and procedures are in place to assure quality consistent simulation experiences.
Promoting students’ abilities to achieve course, program, and student learning outcomes through planning, implementing, and evaluating simulation-based learning activities.
Implementing evidence-based practice by continually evaluating and performing quality improvement for simulation-based learning.
Maintaining the simulation lab, skills lab, and health assessment labs, ensuring that all equipment is maintained and service contracts are current.
Adhering to OSHA and safety measures in the lab.
Assisting faculty with reinforcement of laboratory and health assessment skills in preparation for validation as needed.
Overseeing Federal Work Study students as they assist with organizing the lab, or provide access to open lab time.
Assisting program administrators and faculty with a budget for the skills, simulation, and health assessment labs.
Overseeing simulation lab upgrades as needed.
Collaborating with vendors and equipment/supply companies in order to obtain best pricing.
Participating in Admissions events during the academic year.
Registered Nurse holding a current license in New Jersey, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required, MSN preferred. At least three years of current clinical experience as a RN within the past 5 years, experience with simulation. Certification preferred.
