OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
The Sr. Digital Retoucher is responsible for ensuring assets/images are delivered to creative production teams on-time, with optimal color quality, consistency, and accuracy to represent ecommerce merchandise.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creating accurate images using Adobe PS.
- Expert-level at matching color back to actual product samples or reference images.
- Ensure color consistency across collections.
- Ability to perform complex image work to compensate for imperfections in product samples, cleaning up sets and adding personalization. ie. cloning out scratches in wood and seams in walls and floors, adjusting fabric colors to balance to the merchandise, add missing monograms across a range of techniques.
- On-set quality assurance and color expert on all images.
- Receive creative direction from Photographer, Creative Director and Photo Manager and implement any changes necessary.
- Maintain and adhere to file size and crop specification guidelines. Expand guidelines as needed.
- Oversee progress of workflow as well as manage and prioritize workload.
- Help to build and maintain eDAM/digital asset file/structure organization and naming conventions.
- On-set technical expert for the photography workflow; ensuring the accuracy and consistency of the image capture process.
- Serve as the technical and color expert relating to the image capture process and tool functionality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highly proficient in Photoshop/Adobe Suite.
- Highly proficient in all aspects of digital image quality and output. File size, light, color balancing and retouching.
- Superior color acuity.
- Knowledge of font and type styles is helpful in monogram retouching.
- Demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness in a time-sensitive environment.
- Working knowledge of basic print production or pre-press file prep is helpful
- Familiarity with studio tools, lighting, technical software and systems.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables concurrently.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- MS Office proficient to communicate via Outlook, Teams and Zoom
- Ability to perform full-time work on-site in our San Francisco photo studio/color room
- Self-sufficient and reliable.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Must be able to lift over 25 lbs.
- Ability to work onsite in the San Francisco office Monday - Thursday

The expected starting pay range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
