The Program Assistant provides administrative, clerical, and programmatic support to faculty, staff, and students. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities, academic programming, and special events within the School of Theology. The Program Assistant serves as a point of contact for students and external partners, manages program communications, and supports academic and spiritual initiatives in alignment with the mission of the School.


Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Dean, faculty, and staff including calendar management, scheduling, and correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate records, files, and databases for courses, students, and program initiatives.
  • Assist with event planning and coordination for lectures, worship services, convocations, and other School of Theology activities.
  • Prepare reports, meeting agendas, minutes, and program-related documentation as requested.
  • Serve as a liaison between the School of Theology and other university offices, as well as with community and church partners.
  • Support student services by answering inquiries, providing program information, and directing students to appropriate resources.
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies and manage program purchases in accordance with university policies.
  • Assist with faculty course materials, classroom scheduling, and academic deadlines.
  • Ensure program compliance with university and accrediting body requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Dean or Program Director.


Education

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two or more years of administrative, clerical, or program support experience, preferably in higher education.
  • Must be able to lift 10 pounds.
