As a Bereavement Counselor you'll provide individual counseling to family members; facilitate group support groups; collaborate with hospice staff members to provide comprehensive support; and maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and progress.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Psychology, Counseling or related field; experience with grief counseling regarding loss; knowledge of the Hospice philosophy; strong understanding of grief theories and practices; and willingness to travel to in-person counseling appointments.  This position is an integral part of maintaining the bereavement program for families and caregivers. This individual will provide support for patients in Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties, as well as the Butler area.
