About the Role 

AICA Orthopedics is seeking an Account Manager to oversee and strengthen our referral relationships with Personal Injury law firms throughout Atlanta. As a leading integrated healthcare provider, we serve patients who are referred to us by attorneys for medical evaluation and treatment following accidents and injuries. 

This role focuses on managing an assigned portfolio of attorney referral accounts, ensuring exceptional patient care and service delivery for their referred clients, and maintaining strong professional relationships that support continued referrals. 

As the primary point of contact for your attorney accounts, you'll coordinate seamless medical care for referred patients, ensure timely communication and documentation, and maintain service excellence that strengthens referral partnerships. 


What You'll Do 

Account Portfolio Management 

  • Manage assigned portfolio of attorney referral accounts, serving as primary relationship owner 
  • Conduct regular account reviews and check-ins with referring attorney offices 
  • Monitor referral patterns, patient outcomes, and service quality metrics 
  • Track and report on account performance and referral volume 
  • Develop account-specific strategies to strengthen referral relationships 

Service Excellence & Coordination 

  • Ensure seamless patient care experience for all attorney-referred clients 
  • Coordinate between referring attorneys and AICA medical teams for patient care 
  • Facilitate timely scheduling and appointment coordination for referred patients 
  • Proactively identify and resolve any service issues or concerns 
  • Ensure timely provision of medical records, reports, and documentation to attorneys 
  • Monitor patient satisfaction and care outcomes for referred clients 
  • Implement service improvements based on attorney and patient feedback 

Referral Relationship Development 

  • Nurture and strengthen existing attorney referral relationships 
  • Identify opportunities to expand referrals within existing law firm accounts 
  • Build relationships with multiple attorneys and staff members within each firm 
  • Educate attorneys on AICA's comprehensive medical services and specialties 
  • Meet or exceed quarterly referral volume targets for assigned accounts 
  • Cross-promote AICA's multi-disciplinary services (orthopedics, neurology, chiropractic, PT, pain management) 

Communication & Documentation 

  • Conduct regular check-ins with attorney offices regarding referred patients 
  • Provide updates on patient care progress and treatment plans when appropriate 
  • Respond promptly to attorney inquiries about services and patient scheduling 
  • Maintain detailed account notes and activity tracking in CRM 
  • Ensure timely delivery of requested medical documentation 
  • Coordinate communications across AICA departments to support referred patients 

Strategic Planning & Reporting 

  • Develop quarterly account plans to strengthen referral relationships 
  • Track and analyze referral metrics and patient care outcomes 
  • Provide regular reports on account status, referral patterns, and satisfaction 
  • Collaborate with leadership on account strategy and resource needs 
  • Contribute market intelligence from attorney community interactions 
  • Identify trends and opportunities to improve the referral experience 

Qualifications 

Required: 

  • 3-5 years of account management or customer success experience 
  • Proven track record managing and growing a book of business 
  • Strong relationship management and client service skills 
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities 
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently 
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 

Preferred: 

  • Experience in healthcare, personal injury, or medical-legal referral relationships 
  • Knowledge of personal injury case dynamics and medical documentation needs 
  • Existing relationships with Atlanta area law firms 
  • Understanding of medical terminology and orthopedic treatment processes 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field 
  • Experience with HIPAA compliance and patient privacy requirements 

Success Metrics 

  • Maintain 95%+ satisfaction ratings from referring attorneys 
  • Achieve quarterly referral volume targets for assigned accounts 
  • Meet monthly account activity benchmarks (meetings, touchpoints, reviews) 
  • Retain 90%+ of assigned attorney referral accounts year-over-year 
  • Successfully increase referral volume within existing accounts 
  • Ensure timely delivery of medical documentation (within established timeframes) 
  • Maintain accurate and current account information in CRM 
  • Achieve positive patient care outcomes and satisfaction for referred clients
