Permanent Part Time | 0.5 EFT (38 hrs/fortnight)
Commencing January 2026 | Across Horsham, Dimboola, Edenhope & Stawell

 

About the Role

This senior role offers the opportunity to lead and innovate aged care occupational therapy services during a period of transformative change. You will shape a restorative, person-centred model of care that empowers residents to live meaningful lives, while mentoring junior staff and driving quality improvement across multiple residential sites.

 

In this role you will:

  • Deliver advanced assessment, intervention and consultative services
  • Lead and coordinate therapy programs across multiple aged care facilities
  • Supervise, mentor and support Grade 1 and 2 OTs and students
  • Manage a complex clinical caseload with a restorative, wellness focus
  • Drive service improvement, research and quality projects
  • Support OT Managers with leadership and team operations

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level clinical care and evidence-based interventions
  • Oversee caseload allocation and support team service delivery
  • Lead and participate in service development and quality projects
  • Mentor, supervise and support junior clinicians and students
  • Act as delegate for the OT Manager when required
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration across disciplines

 

Skills & Experience

  • Registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA
  • Minimum 7 years’ post-graduate OT experience, ideally in aged care
  • Strong leadership, mentoring and supervision capabilities
  • Advanced clinical skills in restorative and wellness-focused practice
  • Proven ability to engage in quality improvement or research
