Administrative Officer 
Salary: £24,300 per annum (pro rata)
Location:  Guernsey
Contract/Hours:  Part-Time 20 hrs per week fixed term contract until 31st December 2026. We can be flexible on the day worked but must be during the hrs of 9am-5pm.

A bit about the role
The Guernsey Youth & Housing project offers support to young people.
We are looking for a dedicated administrative officer to join our team working at our Guernsey service. You’ll play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation to our service, ensuring that administrative tasks are handled efficiently and with attention to detail.
You will support the staff team in maintaining files and records, ensuring that information is kept up-to-date and raising awareness of any updates required.  you will be responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks, including raising purchase orders, health and safety checks and metre readings.
Strong literacy and spoken communication skills are essential as you will be interacting with staff, agency workers and stakeholders to ensure clear and effective information flow. As Administrative officer your role is to ensure the smooth clerical operations.

•    Act intuitively, professionally, confidently and implement a sensitive approach to your work.
•    Undertake Administrative Support for information hub referrals.
•    Communicate effectively and strive to deliver a high standard of customer service.
•    Show a willingness to learn new processes and demonstrate good practice to others.
 

Let's talk about you.
•    Experience of working independently to plan and manage your own workload to meet organisational deadlines and shared goals, will be essential.
•    Confident communicator with the ability to deliver and manage basic written and oral communication effectively.
•    An understanding of Microsoft package specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
•    Competent using social media.
•    Good attention to detail, highly organised and adaptable to accommodate the needs of the service.
•    A willingness to learn new aspects of administration.
