Description
Director of Business Operations
Skyworks Solutions is seeking a dynamic and highly analytical Director of Business Operations to join our growing Strategic Initiatives and Program Management team within the Technology and Manufacturing Group (TMG). This role will lead strategic intelligence, operational execution, and executive-level communication across the TMG. It will also focus on tracking KPIs and technical program management of cross-functional TMG programs. The position will report to the Senior Director of Engineering leading strategic initiatives and programs and will work closely with cross-functional partners in TMG to drive successful execution of strategic initiatives. We are looking for a hands-on change agent with experience in the technology field, who thrives as an operator in a dynamic environment and is passionate about productivity and data-driven transformation.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional business acumen, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to communicate with clarity and influence at the executive level—both verbally and through compelling presentations. This leader will serve as the digital twin of TMG operations, ensuring visibility, accountability, and alignment across corporate and departmental initiatives.
Responsibilities
Strategic Intelligence and Business Analytics
- Execute TMG-wide KPI frameworks, spanning corporate, functional, and operational levels.
- Analyze complex business data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Create and maintain executive level dashboards and timelines to track progress and ensure visibility for leadership.
- Deliver actionable business intelligence through monitoring and tracking KPIs.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry roadmaps and provide insight to internal teams.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure KPIs reflect strategic priorities and drive continuous performance improvement.
Program Management
- Develop and execute processes, guidelines, and playbook to support TMG business operations.
- Track progress on multiple initiatives and action items to ensure timely completion and successful outcomes.
- Monitor the execution of complex multi-disciplinary programs.
- Manage competing priorities while maintaining focus on long term objectives.
- Think outside of the box and provide creative solutions to challenging problems despite limited information upfront.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with stakeholders across TMG functions to drive strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align analytics with organizational goals.
- Foster effective teamwork to support the execution of programs, workflows, and TMG business operations flows.
General Responsibilities
- Prepare CxO level presentations and reports to clearly articulate insights, progress, and recommendations.
- Communicate complex data and results into clear, concise, and impactful messages for diverse audiences.
- Maintain high quality verbal and written communications at all levels.

- Follow through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.

Required Qualifications
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience in KPI design, business intelligence tools, and performance tracking.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Demonstrated track record of execution and delivering measurable results.
- Expertise in creating high-impact executive presentations and reports.
- Strong proficiency in tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and analytical software.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to connect analytics to business decisions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced technology or manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and teamwork capabilities to collaborate effectively across functions.
- Knowledge of semiconductor industry is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, without immediate direction, or supervision and with a bias for action.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build internal and external relationships.
- Able to handle confidential information with discretion.
Education and Experience
- MBA, master’s degree in business analytics, or a similar degree strongly preferred; technical bachelor’s degree (BSc) strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in business analytics, strategic program management, or similar roles; management consulting experience is preferred.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $170,100 - $339,500 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
