ROLE DESCRIPTION:
- MUST be currently Enrolled in bachelor’s program in Mechanical Engineering. Must be a Senior graduating in May or August 2026.
- Work Schedule: During School need to be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week (can work a max of 28 hours a week if able to do so) during business hours (7:30am to 5:30pm) and During Breaks can be up to 40 hours a week as needed. (We will work around your school schedule).
- Length of Internship: 6 Months Minimum and could extend longer OR turn into a full-time position.
- Target start date will be as soon as possible.
SUMMARY
Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team, focusing on power plant construction & commissioning. This role is perfect for a student eager to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges in the energy sector. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience or coursework related to power plants and a keen interest in contributing to the successful installation and commissioning of our projects. As PSM Intern It will be assign to support PSM progresses and generated the appropriate reports under the direction and supervision of PSM senior members. As PSM Intern progress through technical career path, the Intern will increase his knowledge in erection and commissioning activities. Employees are required to take direction and guidance from the PSM senior members. Additionally, employees are required to have general knowledge of engineering discipline.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate logistics for training sessions, workshops, and meetings, including scheduling, room setup, and equipment preparation.
- Project Support: Assist with the development and review of installation and commissioning procedures, identifying potential issues or areas for improvement.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Under supervision, help resolve Project Action Requests (PARs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) related to specific equipment or components within the power plant's power train and auxiliary systems.
- Documentation & Reporting: Support the project team by maintaining and organizing project documentation, including drawings, procedures, and reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers and project managers to ensure project tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EDUCATION
- Education and/or Experience: This position requires being enrolled in a college or university Mechanical Engineering program. Must be a Senior graduating in May or August 2026.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, engineering drawings and international engineering standards. Ability to write reports, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers. Bilingual English / Spanish will be a plus.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and diagrams.
- Computer Skills: Strong knowledge of database software; training software; project management software; spreadsheet software and word processing software. Advanced knowledge of Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required. SharePoint, Power BI, Visio and Project) experience is a plus.
