Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of control, effectiveness of TAMS policy and procedures, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and internal company policy.
  • Review and assess the adequacy of internal controls and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Identify areas of risk and develop risk-based audit plans.
  • Prepare clear and concise audit reports accurately describing all findings and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective action plans and report on progress.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather information and ensure corrective actions are implemented
  • Assist in the development of the annual audit plan.
  • Maintain professional development and stay up-to-date with auditing standards and best practices.
  • Perform Vendor audits to assess their ability to provide Top Aces with quality aeronautical products and services.
  • Perform Investigations, risk assessment and root cause analysis in support of the Flight Safety Open Reporting process.
  • Perform other pro-active Quality Assurance activities including maintenance event monitoring, technical records reviews, spot audits and employee interviews.

 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in a QA Representative role or similar
  • Diploma in aviation or QA related field, an asset
  • Experience with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and/or in the Aviation Quality Assurance field, an asset
  • Previous auditing experience considered an asset
  • Technical education in a related aviation field (Maintenance), an asset
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 Quality Management system
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, Visio and SharePoint an asset
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Software, an asset
  • Well organized, ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
  • Strong communications skills and detail oriented
  • Positive, professional attitude, able to take initiative
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands
  • Excellent organizational and follow up skills

 

Working Conditions

  • Travel will be required

 

Supervisory, Training and Advisory Responsibilities:

 May be required to provide regular guidance, advice and training related to the function

 

Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities:

You will have the following responsibilities in order to comply with the company's Occupational Health and Safety program:

  • Working in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety acts and regulations
  • Following safe work practices and procedures and using safeguards and personal protective equipment
  • Reporting hazards (such as unsafe situations and activities) to their supervisor immediately.

 

Security Clearance Requirements/ CGP / ITAR:

Position requires Level II Clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
