The Director of Delivery will play a pivotal role in supporting the CDIO to shape and execute Control Risks’ technology, data and digital strategies. This role will ensure that our technology investments directly enable the business to deliver on its future plans. Leading a team of software developers, quality assurance engineers, business analysts, delivery managers and UI/UX specialists, this IT leadership role will support the CDIO to deliver the technology data and digital strategies and investments that will enable Control Risks to meet its future business plans. Working at the intersection of strategy and execution, you will partner with product teams toturn vision into outcomes that make a real difference for our clients and our business. You will define and deliver the technology delivery strategy for new products, platforms and services—bringing pace, innovation and excellence to everything we deliver.

You will provide next-generation leadership, building and guiding a fast-moving, agile and customer-centric delivery function that works seamlessly with the business. Requirements

What You'll Do:

  • Support defining and delivering Control Risks’ technology roadmap from the CDIO strategy and vison
  • Lead technology delivery teams that deliver support and the implementation of programmes and projects aligned to our 4D strategy (Data Driven Digitally Delivered); responsible for the delivery of technology solutions, capabilities and systems supporting new internal andexternal digital products, platforms and services.
  • Realise commercial benefits from technology ideas through innovative builds, delivery and run scenarios.
  • Ensure a robust technology strategy and delivery capability to implement the roadmapspecifically including leveraging AI to improve the efficiency of development teams.
  • Establish strong relationships across the business to support existing and new technology delivery needs.
  • Act as a trusted technology advisor to the business for new products, services and business transformation strategies.
  • Enhance the existing IT development capability and partner with specialist development & technology organisations to deliver quality products, services and platforms for external clients and internal staff.
  • Implement continuous improvement programmes, further transitioning towards an agile, , AI first, business and customer focussed technology provider. For both BAU product support and new product development.
  • Ensure the appropriate management processes, controls and governance to deliver effective, repeatable & compliant technology build & change and that the ROI for change is identified, maximised and achieved.
  • Provide in-depth technical expertise for tactical and operational initiatives.
  • Ensure IT, Information & Data Security requirements are embedded into the delivery of new technology products, services and platforms, minimising Control Risks exposure to technology risks and reducing the opportunity for reputational damage with Control Risks clients.
  • Responsible for technology risk evaluation and management processes for new and existingproducts, services and platforms.
  • Works with the CDIO to ensure the department has comprehensive and effective policies, procedures, performance management processes and measures.

Who You Are:

  • Able to demonstrate expertise in the implementation and optimisation of technology products, business systems and infrastructure and possess a comprehensive understanding of the current and changing technology landscape.
  • Have experience in delivering technology and digital transformation. Senior leadership experience within a complex, global organisation having the interpersonal skills to engage well at all levels of the organisation.
  • Successful track record in designing and delivering against strategic technology initiatives for internal and external usage. Proven experience delivering significant, successful, transformative business outcomes through agile product teams. Experience in operating, developing and running an agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDL) and Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Excellent understanding of modern cloud-based ERP and CRM systems (such as D365), cloud-based technologies (such as PowerApps, PowerBI, Data warehousing), software development technologies (such as Azure native services) and modern integration technologies (API & API management).
  • Experience of product selection and vendor management.
  • Ability to convey with ease, technology and business solution linkage, and to keep it simple for everyone to understand, through user journeys or service blueprints.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills, and understand how to, through IT solutions, create economies of scale and a solid ROI.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to drive initiatives globally, develop and communicate a technology vision that inspires and motivates both the team and the broader employee base.
  • Strong programme management skills, including the ability to effectively deploy resources and manage multiple projects of diverse scopes in a cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to drive organisational change and transformation.
  • A motivator of people and a dynamic, agile and innovative leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced, always changing environment.
  • Strong business acumen, must be solutions driven, customer-focused, strong influencer and negotiator whilst demonstrating a flexible approach.
  • Experience in budget planning, financial management and resource management.
  • A track record of working within a professional services environment, operating effectively across varied cultures and geographic regions (preferred).

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
