Position Summary
The Process Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety across the plant. This role collaborates with production, product development, and project teams to support new product introductions, improve workflows, and troubleshoot complex process challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and improve manufacturing processes, product flows, and equipment setups.
- Support new product introductions, testing, and validation.
- Troubleshoot production and quality issues using Lean/Six Sigma principles.
- Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across facilities.
- Provide ROI analysis and engineering support for capital equipment investments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer and production deadlines
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related) preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 3+ years of process or manufacturing engineering experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills with knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma.
- Proficiency in CAD and ability to read technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and project management abilities.
- Motivated, collaborative, and a strong team player who contributes to a positive workplace culture.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift up to 25–50 lbs occasionally.
- Must be able to work on your feet, including standing and walking.
- Must be able to work in and around production equipment, which may include climbing stairs, ladders, bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
- Must be able to see and hear to acknowledge critical safety instructions, alarms, forklift traffic, and perform quality and equipment inspections.
- Work occurs in office and manufacturing plant settings with potential exposure to noise, machinery, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required.
