Accenture Federal Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Financial Analyst to join our Program Management Office (PMO) team. You will play a critical role in supporting financial management and analysis for various teams and projects within the Accenture Federal Services IT Department. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
The work:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project budgets and financial forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis to compare actual project costs against budgeted costs.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial data to meet reporting deadlines.
- Work closely with project managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to gather financial data and insights.
- Participate in project meetings to discuss financial status, issues, and action plans.
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and reporting mechanisms.
Here’s what you need:
- US Citizenship
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, including budgeting and forecasting, preferably within a project-based environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Bonus points if you have:
- Ability to effectively communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Experience with data visualization
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
