The Warehouse Manager/Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory control, safe handling of materials, and timely fulfillment of orders. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and technical knowledge of products to support field teams and company operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping of supplies
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in all warehouse areas.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to prevent shortages or overstock
- Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Implement and improve inventory tracking systems
- Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor productivity
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a culture of safety
- Schedule and oversee deliveries, returns, and transfers to job sites
- Coordinate with department managers, field technicians and vendors to ensure timely supply availability
- Optimize warehouse layout for efficient material flow
- Oversee maintenance and safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
- Track company tools and equipment issued to field staff
- Duties may be expanded, reduced, or altered at the discretion of management to meet company needs. Employees may be required to perform other related duties as assigned by their manager.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- High school diploma or GED required,
- 3-5 years of warehouse or logistics experience, preferably in HVAC, Plumbing or construction supply
- Supervisory or team leadership experience required
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing parts, tools and equipment
- Preferred experience with ServiceTitan and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery
- Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
