Position: Admin Assistant (Newcomers)
Hours: 15 hours per week (0.40 FTE)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £24,660 per annum, pro rata (£822 gross income per month)
Summary / Overview of role:
Working alongside the Ministry Pastors and the Newcomers & Evangelism Team. You will provide administrative support to effectively facilitate the running of the ministry area, including Alpha and discipleship courses, the connect area, newcomers’ meals, men’s and women’s ministry, marriage & pre-marriage courses and baptisms.
Responsibilities
- Ordering, stock taking and managing supplies of newcomers’ literature and resources
- Research cost-efficient and creative supplies and ideas that will support and resource the ministry
- Input, process and present data appropriate to the ministry, using ChurchSuite (our church management system) as appropriate
- Provide general administrative support
- Attend team and staff meetings and training as required
- Take on new roles and responsibilities as the ministry changes and develops
- Handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional and discreet manner
Reporting Relationships
You report to: Ministry Pastors (Newcomers and Evangelism)
Person Specification
- Be willing to learn new skills and use ChurchSuite / Teams regularly.
- A team player, personable and approachable, able to communicate clearly with the staff team and newcomers.
- Be committed to the values of Trent Vineyard.
- An imaginative problem solver, able to use initiative and discretion and be flexible as the situation requires.
- Able to process data quickly and efficiently, producing reports and presenting information in an accessible way.
- Be detail-minded and have a mindset of doing things well.
- Able to work under pressure to a tight deadline.
Qualifications
- Desirably educated to A-Level standard, with at least a B grade / 6 grade in English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent qualifications).
- Proficient in IT and computer literate with a variety of software, including Microsoft Office.
