This role is ideal for a proven security leader who can manage distributed teams, maintain audit readiness, and ensure adherence to CoreWeave’s operational standards.

As the primary escalation point for incidents, investigations, and urgent security issues, you will oversee a team of Data Center Security Specialists (DCSS), verify site security posture, and coordinate risk remediation efforts. You will work closely with cross-functional partners, including the Integrated Security Design Team, GRC Team, and DC Operations to implement best practices and long-term solutions.

The ideal candidate possesses strong experience in physical security management, data center operations, regulatory compliance, and program and process development. Strong leadership, documentation, and training skills are essential, along with the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships while upholding CoreWeave’s security integrity.

This is an on-site position - the employee can be based at any of our European Data Centres or Offices. They will be required to travel up to 30% of the time for site inspections, audits, training, and incident response. You will report to a Regional Security Operations Manager (RSOM).

Your Role

  • Build, lead, and support a new team of DCSS personnel across the EMEA region (initial team-building will be part of the role).
  • Own monthly access audits, physical walkthroughs, and compliance routines for all assigned sites.
  • Act as the regional escalation point for physical security incidents, investigations, and urgent matters.
  • Review physical risk assessments in collaboration with Risk Analysts and project teams; drive remediation plans to closure.
  • Support physical security readiness at new data centers during buildout and handover phases.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and reports, aligning with CoreWeave’s global security policies and frameworks.
  • Ensure operational alignment with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR-related physical security requirements.
  • Collaborate with DC Operations, Facilities, People Ops, and the Global Risk and Compliance team.
  • Stay current with evolving compliance requirements.
  • Participate in leadership meetings to report on security posture, risks, and trends.

Your Experience

Operational & Security Expertise:

  • 5+ years managing security operations, safety programs, or physical access control in complex or distributed environments.
  • Proven success in leading and developing globally distributed security teams in a multi-site environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee large-scale physical security programs and maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience setting regional security priorities, allocating resources, and driving continuous improvement in security posture.
  • Applicants must have work authorisation that does not require sponsorship from the company now or in the future.

Educational Background & Compliance Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of compliance standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and relevant physical safeguards under NIST or local regulations.
  • Strong documentation and audit preparation skills.

Leadership & Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to make operational decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Proven track record of coaching and developing high-performing teams.

Nice-to-Haves:
