Position Summary: 

Join JCCA as our Assistant Director, overseeing the delivery of Children & Family Treatment & Support Services (CFTSS) by our team of Other Licensed Professionals (OLPs) across our Residential Treatment Center and Westchester-based programs.

In this vital role, the Assistant Director will supervise a team of skilled clinicians, ensure compliance with Article 29i, and support the highest standards of care through evidence-based, trauma-informed practices. . This is a unique opportunity to shape service delivery, lead multidisciplinary collaboration, and make a real difference in the lives of youth and families.

Responsibilities

Clinical Supervision:

  • Provide individual and group supervision to a team of OLPs, supporting their clinical growth and accountability.
  • Review and oversee clinical documentation, treatment plans, and progress notes for quality and compliance.
  • Guide staff in developing effective Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and Crisis Intervention Plans (CIPs).
  • Conduct performance reviews, deliver feedback, and manage disciplinary processes as needed.

     

Program Management:

  • Ensure full adherence to all regulations and agency policies, particularly Article 29i (e.g. Teen Intervene, Comprehensive Treatment Planning)
  • Oversee admissions and discharges, ensuring clinical and documentation standards are met.
  • Collaborate across departments (medical, education, residential) for seamless, coordinated care.
  • Represent the clinical team in rounds, MDTs, briefings, and red flag meetings.

     

Clinical Services:

  • Step in to provide direct care (individual, group, or family therapy) when needed.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to treatment planning as necessary.

 

Administrative & Operational Support:

  • Monitor service delivery to ensure billing targets are met and reconciliations are timely.
  • Ensure staff complete required trainings and certifications.
  • Support administrative functions, such as scheduling and data tracking.

     

Qualifications

  • Education & Licensure:
    • Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited university.
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of two years of experience supervising clinical staff.
    • Experience working with children and families in a mental health or human services setting.
    • Experience with Article 29i regulations and best practices in child and family therapy.
  • Skills & Abilities:
    • Excellent clinical judgment, assessment, and diagnostic skills.
    • Strong supervisory, mentorship, and coaching skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.  
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bilingual/Spanish speaking.
    • Experience working with adolescents in a residential treatment setting.
    • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

       

Salary: $77K - $83K
