The Night Team Production Supervisor will provide effective leadership and support through pro-active problem solving, effective planning and fostering high employee involvement. The Supervisor will use their Lean Manufacturing skills to coach, mentor and inspire coworkers to attain or surpass goals for productivity, safety, quality, efficiency, conduct and learning. The Supervisor will focus on shift performance across all plant operations departments in a fast-paced “job shop” environment where low volume and high mix is the norm and where improving velocity of order flow is critical.
The Night Team Production Supervisor will be a key team player by:
- Lead the team with consistency by focusing on high-performance expectations to achieving goals that are aligned with operational and organizational strategies.
- Build trust by listening and sharing knowledge and solutions, provide coaching and regular feedback to support improvement in co-worker performance and to delivering a safe, quality product to our internal and external customers.
- Manage the competencies, skills and training of your team that accurately reflects their abilities and supports their development by cross-training and feedback.
- Manage work order flow to achieve on time shipment of manufactured product and shop floor lead time targets.
- Achieve OEE, Safety, Quality, 6s, Velocity and Cost improvement targets.
- Manage an effective and visual communication process that engages all employees in the day to day running of the business and drives achievement of performance goals and results.
- Ensure Inventory/Location Accuracy of POUS raw materials is 99% and administer a cycle counting process that complies with Finance and Organizational requirements.
- Co-ownership of resource planning process

- Utilization of a Competency Matrix and training initiatives to respond to shifts in demand
Skills, Education and Certifications:
- BS Degree or equivalent experience or at least 8 years of manufacturing experience with progressive supervisory or leadership experience.
- Must have experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment with process and people management experience.
- Must have the ability to provide verbal and write constructive co-worker feedback to support a learning and growth mindset.
- Must have experience working in a continuous improvement capacity or support role.
- Excellent written / verbal & listening communication skills
- Excellent planning & organizational skills
- Ability to lead / manage / develop and train cross functional teams
- High proficiency in use of PC software including Microsoft Office applications
- High proficiency in use of (ERP) enterprise application and MS Excel
