Food Bank of the Rockies’ Development Database Manager is a senior position on the database team providing strategy and leadership in the management of supporter data, gift and donor data entry, gift acknowledgments, and financial reconciliation in Food Bank of the Rockies’ supporter databases. The Development Database Manager will provide essential support and leadership to the Development Database Specialist team in a high-volume, high-achieving environment. This role will oversee and support the Development Database Specialist Team in reviewing, processing, entering, reconciling, and acknowledging donations received through daily online giving, lockbox, special events, white mail, and/or ACH. The Development Database Manager will bring a detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative leadership skillset to the team to support, lead, and provide high-quality data entry, data analysis, database maintenance, financial reconciliation, reporting, and accountability. This role will specialize in all giving verticals, functioning as the subject matter expert and thought leader for the team in all areas of the Development Database Specialist Team’s responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the Development Database Specialist team, providing leadership, support, performance reviews, and resources to each Specialist
- Oversee all supporter data entry and ensure all donor acknowledgments are complete, timely, and accurate
- Manage template updates in gift batches, ImportOmatic, ReceipterPro, and other programs
- Represent Development and coordinate with the Finance department for reconciliation, reporting, database research, and data corrections and adjustments
- Serve as the lead expert for the Development Database Specialist team in Raiser’s Edge, supporter and event data, data entry, and gift management, providing leadership on enhancing processes and reporting, and staying up to date on best practices in these areas
- Manage event data collection and management, including event registration, tracking, and receipting in Raiser’s Edge
- Regularly create and run reports for quality checks, process leadership, and team accountability, including Daily Development Report, the Acknowledgment Tracker, and weekly and monthly financial reconciliation reports
- Manage donor and gift records in Raiser’s Edge with information from colleagues, supporters, and/or import/scan files; identify and pass along any personal correspondence associated with gifts; route and file all gift collateral in accordance with policy
- Coordinate with the Director of Development Operations in managing database projects that ensure the accuracy and flow of data across all other integrated data sources, including email/marketing databases and volunteer database
- Oversee and maintain database hygiene through regular auditing, reporting, and maintenance work including constituent and gift updates, address updates, duplicate record identification and merging, and donor-requested changes
- Oversee and collaborate with the Development Database Specialist team in writing, maintaining, and updating the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Food Bank of the Rockies’ processes and databases including Raiser’s Edge, ResearchPoint, and Engaging Networks
- Finalizes all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) produced by the team, ensuring they are documented, updated, and stored according to policy
- Provide backup support to senior data team members and the Development Database Specialists team
- Oversees the stewardship of restricted funds
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive and privileged donor information and protects organization operations

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree, certificates in Computer Science, and/or equivalent work experience preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years prior experience working in Databases, Development, Analysis, Prospect Research, and/or Accounting/Finance
- Management experience required; experience managing fundraising database systems and personnel preferred
- Non-profit experience and working knowledge of fundraising preferred
- High proficiency with computers and technology; ability to quickly adapt to new programs a must
- Extensive experience using Microsoft Office Suite; highly proficient in Word and Excel required
- Raiser’s Edge, ResearchPoint, Engaging Networks, Smartsheet, ReceipterPro, ImportOmatic, and/or caging service gift import management experience strongly preferred
Expected Hours of Work:
This is an exempt, full-time position. A flexible schedule is available, but this role will be required to work 3 days in the office, 2 days remote. The work schedule is Monday through Friday during core business hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and may require occasional weekend or evening hours.
Compensation:
$68,800 - $73,000 Annually + up to 6% annual bonus
