Scott Credit Union is calling all customer service professionals who are interested in a full-time Deposits Operations Specialist job in the Collinsville, IL area to apply to join our amazing Operations team! This Deposits Operations Specialist position works Monday - Friday, with varied hours and schedule depending on operational needs.
**Training is to be completed in the first 30-90 days of employment at the Collinsville branch.
**Upon successful completion of training, qualifying employees may be eligible for a hybrid/remote schedule.

The Day to Day as a Deposit Operations Specialist
The Deposit Operations Specialist provides back-office operational support for deposit-related products and services, ensuring that member’s deposit needs are supported timely, and that the credit union’s deposit operating environment is stable and complies with various laws and regulations related to deposit accounts.
A typical day will look like:
- Processes outgoing/incoming domestic and international wire transfers.
- Reviews ATM and mobile deposited items, approving and rejecting as appropriate.
- Review and process online members transfers (A2A)
- Processes exceptions and researches member transaction disputes.
- Ensures that IRA accounts are set up and maintained correctly.
- Maintain dormant accounts and prepare accounts for escheatment to the state.
- Support the IRS reporting processes including tax reporting, maintaining tax records for existing members and associated activities.
- Ensure daily, monthly and annual IRA tasks are performed timely and in accordance with current rules and regulations.
- Provide support for annual tax and government reporting processes.
- Review and work various reports as needed for operations support of the credit union.
- Be a resource for member service team questions.

- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of financial institution experience.
- Personal computer experience to include Microsoft Office products.
