Position Overview
We are hiring an experienced Billing Clerk to help us keep growing. This position will gather data, calculate charges and fees and create invoices for billing purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete monthly invoicing for departments.
- Verify accuracy of billing data, correcting any errors.
- Reconcile entries in the company’s accounting system.
- Review Work in Progress and invoice projects accordingly.
- Prepare and submit special billing summaries as requested.
- Contact clients to obtain, verify and update account information when necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Associates degree in Business or Accounting is preferred.
- At least three years of increasingly responsible experience in Accounting; related business school or college courses may be substituted for up to one year of experience.
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of policies and procedures used in accounts receivable and billing.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
Reporting Relationships
- Reports to: Billing Manager
Physical Requirements
Physical Ability
- Stand, walk, push, pull, twist, reach overhead; lift minimum of 15 pounds.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Visual Ability
- Visual accommodation necessary for reading instructions/materials necessary to perform functions of job.
Hearing Ability
- Ability to discuss workload with staff.
