Overview:
MKS2 is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead a team supporting FEMA’s National Disaster & Emergency Management University (NDEMU). This role focuses on delivering high-quality administrative support and customer service to a diverse group of stakeholders including federal, state, tribal, and local jurisdictions, as well as organizations like the American Red Cross.
The position centers around FEMA’s Independent Study (IS) Program, which offers free, on-demand emergency management training through downloadable and web-interactive formats. With annual enrollments ranging from two to three million, the IS curriculum is rapidly expanding, and this role is critical to ensuring its continued success.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team providing administrative and customer service support for FEMA’s NDEMU stakeholders.
- Oversee project execution, ensuring alignment with FEMA’s training and technical assistance goals.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners to support the delivery and expansion of the IS Program.
- Monitor project performance, resolve issues, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
- Ensure compliance with federal records management laws and regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or a related field.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects successfully.
- Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex problems.
- Decisive and outcome-focused decision-making capabilities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in customer service and working with FEMA.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
- Experience with FEMA NDEMU Independent Study Database System (ISDBS).
- Knowledge of Federal records management laws and regulations.
