The Warehouse Associate – Shipping plays a key role in supporting warehouse operations by preparing, staging, and loading outgoing shipments with accuracy and care. This position ensures timely fulfillment of customer orders and helps maintain a clean, safe, and efficient shipping environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
Shipping Operations
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for delivery or customer pickup
- Load delivery trucks safely and accurately based on route and order requirements
- Verify shipment details against packing slips and sales orders
- Ensure proper labeling and handling of all outgoing inventory
- Assist in maintaining accurate shipping records and paperwork
Team Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with warehouse leads, drivers, and sales teams
- Report shortages, damages, or delays to the appropriate supervisor
- Work cooperatively with team members to meet daily shipping goals
- Following directions to help maintain steady and accurate workflow
General Warehouse Support
- Keep staging and loading areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed, including receiving or stocking
- Follow all company safety procedures and use equipment responsibly
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in warehouse or physical labor role
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Basic computer and scanning tool proficiency
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work at a steady pace
Preferred:
- Previous experience in plumbing, irrigation, or related warehouse environments
- Familiarity with shipping software or ERP systems
- Experience using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment
- Ability to multitask and adapt during high-volume periods
- Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset
