The Conrad Company, a fast growing, award-winning family-owned business located in York, PA is seeking a highly motivated, forward-thinking Business Development Specialist to join a growth-oriented team. The Business Development Specialist role is about creating, developing, strengthening, and expanding relationships with one another, our customers, our suppliers, and our community. The focus of the Business Development Specialist position is to grow sales revenue for Allied Hydraulic Services.
Allied Hydraulic Services is a leader in the manufacturing and construction industry with hydraulic component repair.
Responsibilities:
· Drive sales revenue growth within the construction & industrial industry selling hydraulic repair services of pumps, motors, valves & cylinders
· The BDS will organize a week of in-person sales calls in advance so they can visit 125 – 150 customers a month (6-8 calls per business day)
· Build and grow an existing book of business that is made up of active customers, inactive customers, and prospects throughout Mid-Atlantic Region.
· Operate as a liaison between inside sales and the repair shop to align strategies aimed at increasing overall revenue.
· Collaborate with the service team to assess repair feasibility, costs, and lead times.
· Negotiate and close business deals that promote sustained revenue through face-to-face sales calls
· Enhance the overall brand awareness in the marketplace for the repair capabilities of hydraulic valves, cylinder, pumps. motors, and power unit builds.
· Pick up and deliver repairs from Allied facility in Hallam, PA to customer sites across Mid-Atlantic Region.
· Attend meetings, sales events, and sales training to stay up to date on all company initiatives.
· Continually meet or exceed mutually established sales targets
· Conduct site visits to assess hydraulic systems and recommend repair solutions.
· Provide ongoing support to existing customers, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
· Maintain CRM records of sales activities – face to face visits & opportunities
Requirements
· Experience working in sales or business development
· Strong communication and organizational skills
· Background in hydraulic repair / fluid power industry preferred
· Willingness to travel to customer sites
· Experience in identifying profitable business opportunities and potential clients
· This is a hybrid position
· Familiarity with utilizing an ERP system; experience with Acumatica is a plus
