Fiber Designer

Join our team as a Fiber Designer and help build the future of fiber networks. In this role, you’ll create accurate, constructible designs that bring FTTH and fiber deployments to life. From aerial and underground routes to splicing and permitting, you’ll play a key part in ensuring networks are efficient, reliable, and ready to serve communities. This is a hands-on, collaborative position with opportunities to streamline workflows, contribute innovative ideas, and support MDU/ISP projects along the way.

 Responsibilities:
  • Design aerial, UG, and micro-trench fiber routes.
  • Develop Fiber Construction Drawings, BOMs, and splice matrices.
  • Use design software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, 3-GIS, Vetro, Arc/Esri, etc.).
  • Draft and manage permits, ROW, and easement requirements.
  • Ensure design accuracy and troubleshoot challenges.

 Qualifications:
  • 3+ years in OSP fiber design and FTTH networks.
  • Proficiency in fiber design/GIS tools.
  • Experience with permitting and ROW/easement approvals.
  • Strong problem-solving and detail orientation.
  • Knowledge of OSP architecture and fiber splicing.
  • Familiarity with ISP/MDU design.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office & Google Workspace.

This position requires you to report to a PRG office listed below
  • Nashville, TN
  • San Antonio, TX
  • Austin, TX

Compensation & Benefits
We offer competitive hourly pay plus opportunity for overtime ($25-$35/hr.) along with a comprehensive benefits package, including:
