Do you love solving problems, working with data, and making systems run smoothly? Are you excited about using technology to improve how people access transportation? If so, we’d love for you to join our team at Ride Connection as our next Operations System Administrator!

Who We Are

Ride Connection is a nonprofit organization that believes transportation is more than just getting from point A to point B—it’s about independence, dignity, and connection. Every day, we work with partners across the region to provide safe, accessible, and reliable transportation for older adults, people with disabilities, and others in our community who need it most.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll keep our key transit systems running at their best. You’ll configure, maintain, and optimize these platforms so that staff and partners can depend on them for scheduling rides, tracking trips, and generating accurate reports. You’ll also:

  • Manage system workflows, automation, and user accounts.
  • Audit data to make sure information is accurate and reliable.
  • Help teams use data effectively through training, reports, and technical support.
  • Lead or support new projects like micro-transit and rideshare programs.
  • Collaborate with staff, partners, and vendors to solve challenges and improve processes.

Why You’ll Love It Here

At Ride Connection, you’ll be part of a values-driven organization that believes in teamwork, respect, and creativity. You’ll work alongside people who care deeply about equity, accessibility, and making transportation options better for everyone. You’ll also have opportunities to:

  • Share your technical expertise while building relationships across departments.
  • Lead trainings and empower others to use our systems with confidence.
  • Contribute new ideas that improve efficiency and expand our impact.
  • Grow your own skills while helping others thrive.

What We’re Looking For

We’re excited to welcome someone who brings both skills and heart to this role. Here’s what will help you succeed:

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field — or a comparable mix of education and experience.
  • At least two years of progressive experience in operations systems, data management, or related areas.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and SharePoint.
  • Experience working with data systems, reporting tools, and process automation.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Clear, effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, juggle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with process mapping and creating standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • A demonstrated commitment to equity and the ability to collaborate with diverse groups of people.
  • Must be able to pass a National Criminal Records Check, including fingerprint identification, as required by federal and state guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications
These aren’t required, but they’d make you an even stronger candidate:

  • Three or more years of experience managing technology platforms.
  • Experience with transportation management systems.
  • Familiarity with demand-response and fixed-route transit operations.
  • Skills with data visualization or analytics tools (Power BI, Spare, Tableau, etc.).
  • Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations and reporting (including NTD and ADA compliance).
  • Background in system implementation, workflow design, or user training.
  • Experience in a values-driven organization committed to equity and community-based service.

Ready to Apply?

If you’re excited to bring your skills to a mission-driven team that’s making a difference in people’s lives every day, we’d love to hear from you!  We review applications as they come in, so don’t wait—apply early if you can!

Along with your resume, we’d love a short cover letter sharing how your background and experiences could help bring Ride Connection’s vision to life: creating independence and community connections through travel options.
