Your role is pivotal in ensuring enterprise-wide alignment of data strategies, platforms, and governance to support AI adoption, business process digitization, and advanced analytics. You will define reference architectures, guide implementation teams, and collaborate with business and technology leaders to ensure scalable, secure, and value-driven data solutions.What You Will DoDefine and evolve enterprise data architecture strategy across domains including operational data, master data, and IoT data, aligning with enterprise goals, roadmaps, and compliance requirements.Architect and standardize scalable, secure data platforms and pipelines for structured and unstructured data, enabling real-time processing, AI/ML integration, and business intelligence.Partner with AI/ML engineering and data science teams to design AI-enabling data services (e.g., vector stores, time series/graph DBs, semantic layers) while ensuring enterprise reuse and architectural compliance.Establish and promote architectural standards and patterns for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and access (e.g., Matillion, Snowflake, MS Fabric, Delta Lake).Lead data architecture governance, ensuring alignment with enterprise principles for data quality, lineage, observability, classification, privacy, and security.Collaborate with Information Security, Compliance, and Data Governance teams to embed policies for responsible AI and sensitive data protection into data architecture blueprints.Define metadata, cataloging, and data discoverability practices to enable AI agents and business users to consume data responsibly and efficiently.Represent Data Architecture in key initiatives (e.g., Industry 4.0, supply chain optimization, AI/agentic automation) and provide architecture oversight to delivery teams.Develop and maintain relationships with key technology vendors, thought leaders, and industry groups to incorporate external innovation into internal strategies.Mentor and guide data engineers, solution architects, and platform teams on architectural best practices and technical direction.Act as a subject matter expert for enterprise data strategy in engagements with executive stakeholders, internal IT, and external partners.What You Need to Be SuccessfulOverall 15 + Years and 8+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering, or analytics with at least 3 years in a senior architect or lead role.Proven experience with modern data platforms and tools, such as Snowflake, Delta Lake, MS Fabric, and Matillion.Strong experience designing and governing cloud-native data architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including data lake house and streaming/real-time patterns.Deep understanding of enterprise integration patterns, data modeling (relational, NoSQL, graph), and metadata management.Working knowledge of AI/ML and LLM enablement through data platforms (e.g., vector DBs, LangChain integrations, memory stores) is a strong advantage.Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, drive architectural alignment, and communicate technical concepts to business and executive audiences.Hands-on skills in data engineering tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) are a plus for architectural prototyping and credibility.Familiarity with data governance, cataloging, and MDM tools and practices.Strong analytical, communications, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Bonus Points if You HaveBachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field (advanced certifications or PhD a plus).Experience in Azure Data Factory, Matillion, Snowflake, Databricks or other alternative data engineering frameworks.Experience with functional/streaming paradigms, reinforcement learning environments, fine-tuning pipelines, or multi-agent systems.Familiarity with agent frameworks (e.g., OpenAI Assistants, LangGraph, AutoGPT, CrewAI).Data Engineering certification, e.g. DP-600 for MS Fabric.Project Management certification, e.g. PMI certification.Possess advanced skills in cross-cultural awareness, leadership, influence, communication, problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution.Knowledge of the automotive and manufacturing industries is a plus.What Makes You EligibleBe willing to travel up to 15%, domestic and international travelBe willing to work in Bangalore, India. What We OfferFlexible work environment, allowing for full-time remote work globally for positions that can be performed outside a HARMAN or customer locationAccess to employee discounts on world-class products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, and more)Extensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN UniversityCompetitive wellness benefitsTuition reimbursement“Be Brilliant” employee recognition and rewards programAn inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development#LI-AD3
