The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for leading and executing quality initiatives that ensure regulatory compliance, enhance supplier and operational quality programs. This role serves as a key contributor across cross-functional teams, driving continuous improvement and ensuring alignment with cosmetic manufacturing industry standards and client expectations. Periodic travel required.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance
- Defines standards and methodologies to meet and sustain customer requirements through validation master plans, process flow diagrams, test cases, and/or standard operating procedures.
- Manage regulatory compliance programs, ensuring timely responses to client projects and service requests. (e.g., ISO, FDA, GMP).
- Manage and contribute to quality-related projects from initiation to completion, including timelines, resources, and cross-functional communication applying Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
- Lead ongoing operational quality expectations and culture by utilizing continuous improvement methods and tools with data-driven decisions to improve product and process quality.
- Establish and engineer ongoing quality system programs to focus on Quality assurance through process validation, process control, and process optimization.
- Manage quality program internal/external audits with adequate CAPA responses and corrective actions.
- Identify and mitigate quality risks by conducting FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and other RCA (Root Cause Analysis) methods.
Supplier Quality
- Lead collaboration with incoming quality, purchasing and operations to mitigate risk and enhance supplier quality and accountability.
- Analyze data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement ensuring product reliability and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present reports on leadership on quality metrics, compliance status, and project outcomes.
Leadership
- Manage team member goals and performance standards through proactive coaching, continuous learning, and clear, effective communication.
- Proactively develop and engage team member potential to achieve cross-functional results.
- Engage in workplace culture programs rooted in safety and environmental responsibility.

Qualifications
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or related field (master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or supplier/vendor management in a manufacturing work environment.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing statistical tools (SPC, DOE, Pareto analysis) and interpreting quality metrics and KPIs.
- Familiar with ISO22716, ISO14001 and other quality management systems.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems (FMEA, Process Mapping, Fishbone Diagrams, Control Charts, etc.) risk management, and regulatory frameworks driving process optimization and waste reduction.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership abilities.
