We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will manage receivables, deposits, and accounts payable for the Company and its affiliates, ensuring accurate financial records, timely processing, and compliance with audit and reporting requirements while supporting cross-departmental collaboration.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Prepare and post daily bank wire journal entries, customer deposit journal entries, and other entries as needed
  • Deposit funds daily for multiple entities
  • Maintain detailed and accurate commission records by employing robust tracking methods and regular audits, ensuring data integrity for transparent financial reporting and streamlined reconciliation processes.
  • Provide proactive support by gathering and delivering all required accounting documentation to auditors, ensuring thorough, accurate, and timely compliance with audit requests
  • Collaborate with diverse departments to streamline fund collection, ensuring contracts are processed efficiently and closings occur on schedule
  • Oversee the preparation and systematic collection of draw requests on construction permanent loans by collaborating with banks and customers, ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant, and submitted in a timely manner
  • Work with accounts payable as needed
  • Develop and execute a detailed cost analysis for all incoming sales, leveraging comprehensive financial evaluations and data-driven insights to optimize profitability and inform strategic decision-making

          WHAT YOU BRING:

          • An associate’s degree in accounting or a similar field or three years of bookkeeping or general ledger experience is required
          • Highly detail-oriented and analytical with good organizational skills
          • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
          • Excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and meeting deadlines
          • Positive attitude and ability to handle highly confidential information
          • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
          • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential

          PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

          • General sedentary work requiring the use of office equipment such as computers, copiers, printers, scanners, and telephones
          • Position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, grasping, writing, typing, repetitive motions, hearing ability, visual acuity, and climbing stairs on occasion
          • May occasionally lift and move up to 30 pounds
