Applied Composites (AC) is seeking a Engineering Technician 2 who plays a critical role in supporting the design, development, and manufacturing processes within the durable goods industry. This position focuses on applying technical knowledge to assist engineers in creating, testing, and refining products to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. The role involves troubleshooting equipment and process issues, collecting and analyzing data, and implementing improvements to optimize production efficiency. The Engineering Technician 2 collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality assurance, and production to facilitate seamless product development cycles. Ultimately, this position contributes to delivering reliable, high-quality durable goods that satisfy customer requirements and regulatory standards.

Job Accountabilities:
- Assist engineers in the design, testing, and modification of durable goods products and manufacturing processes.
- Perform routine and complex measurements, data collection, and analysis to support product development and quality control.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to equipment, tooling, and production processes.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including test reports, process instructions, and maintenance records.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to implement process improvements and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory and production equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Support prototype assembly, testing, and validation activities to verify design specifications and performance criteria.
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Job Specifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectation
Years’ Experience: 1 year or more of relevant experience
Skills:
- Experience with CAD software and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems preferred.
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Knowledge of automation and robotics used in manufacturing environments.
- Proficient with diagnostic tools and equipment preferred.
- Certification as an Engineering Technician (e.g., Certified Engineering Technician - CET) or equivalent is a plus.
- Strong communication and documentation skills as well as collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
