THE POSITION

The Training Site Venue Transport Manager will play a pivotal role within the FIFA26 Transport team, collaborating closely with the FIFA26 Team Services team. This position is responsible for the conceptualization and operational planning of all transportation operations provided to FIFA constituents at Venue Specific Training Sites and Team Base Camp Training Sites. The successful candidate will also be tasked with building, training, and motivating a team of paid staff and contractors for the duration of the FIFA World Cup 2026 project. We are looking for a self-starter and multitasker who thrives under pressure and is committed to following through on tasks.

Key responsibilities and oversights of the Manager, Training Site Venue Transport for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:  
  • Responsible for cost effective and efficient training site operations
  • Ensure cost-effective and efficient operations at training sites.
  • Develop plans and budgets while managing all operational activities for Venue Specific Training Sites and Team Base Camp Training Sites.
  • Create comprehensive Transport Plans for all FIFA constituents at Venue Specific Training Sites and Team Base Camp Training Sites.
  • Conduct traffic analysis of operations and validate proposed plans through testing.
  • Develop interim access plans for FIFA Club World Cup Training Sites.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to secure necessary agreements and approvals.
  • Collaborate with all FIFA26 Functional Areas and transport systems to align plans with overall transport proposals.
  • Work in partnership with Host Cities to contribute to the development of Local Area Traffic Management Plans.
  • Coordinate with Security to ensure transport plans are integrated with security measures at all Venue Specific Training Sites and Team Base Camp Training Sites.
  • Prepare reports on key performance indicators to assess the success of transport operations.
  • Conduct risk analyses and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Create walkthroughs, testing, and readiness exercise plans.
  • Support the delivery of transport services for all test events leading up to the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Transport, Civil Engineering, Project Management, Event Management, Major Sport events or a combination of education and experience relating to position. 
  • Master’s Degree is an additional asset 
Work Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years Transport work experience: ideally within the football, sport, event or Three (3) years of experience as a Venue Transport Manager, or three (3) years equivalent management position. 
  • Experience in interviewing employees regarding accidents, complaints, grievances, and disciplinary actions. 
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from support staff, managers, and clients. Individual must be motivated, capable of working independently, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Venue, sites and facilities operation experience within at least one mega project event, ideally more than one world class sport event (e.g. FIFA World Cup and / or Olympic Games, Regional Football Tournaments, etc.). 
  • Basic knowledge of transit operations involved in moving FIFA Constituents by vehicles, including city layout 
  • Intermediate knowledge of administration and management principles 
Languages
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
Technology
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software including Monday.com and online collaboration tools
