Following  the decision by the Australian Government to acquire UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters from the US Government, Lockheed Martin Australia  has established a core team of experienced military Rotary Wing professionals to support the initial procurement and ongoing sustainment activities. The modern-day, 3rd Generation UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter is the world’s leading multi-role battlefield and special operations helicopter with a proven legacy of exceptional capability and reliability. We are pleased to invite applications for the position of Command Post Operator to join our UH-60M Black Hawk team based in Oakey.

About you:

To be successful you will be an experienced Command Post Operator, who hold the following credentials:

Essential:

  • Well-developed ability to work and problem solve independently; 
  • Well- developed ability to work with minimum supervision; and 
  • Well-developed ability to show leadership and maturity.

Desirable:

  • AVN GCMS COMD POST OPTR UH-60M; 
  • AVN GCMS IET; 
  • Avn PEX Training; and Specialist Combat Communications Course

Special Requirements:

Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
 

Your responsibilities will include:

As a Command Post Operator at the School of Army Aviation (SAA), you will be tasked with the execution and application of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support all SAA Flying Operations. This role demands a high level of judgement, situational awareness, and meticulous attention to detail in the performance of daily operational duties.
