JOB SUMMARY

An exciting opportunity for an Engineer as part of a global and passionate group of problem solvers. In this position, you will be responsible for executing custom product orders for the industrial, pharmaceutical, and food and beverage industries. 

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with customer service and application engineers to develop quotes
  • Configures and engineers products to order to meet customer expectations
  • Takes ownership of product line orders and outcomes
  • Manages product structure through bill of materials in ERP system   
  • Creates component/unit drawings and models for sales, manufacturing, and assembly
  • Coordinates projects with cross functional groups from applications and design engineering to manufacturing and shipping
  • Provides product engineering expertise to support quality, manufacturing, and assembly  
  • Supports technical sales and aftermarket
  • Works with product managers and marketing on product life cycle initiatives

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Must have the ability to manage diverse volume of work and manage appropriate priorities which involve a high frequency of change.
  • Influence cross-functional teams and others without direct authority.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to execute tasks given general direction
  • Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing
  • Ability to work with diverse global teams from engineering to sourcing
  • Hands-on attitude a must

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred (mechanical / chemical background preferred)
  • Minimum experience required of 3 years in a position with strong attention to detail. Food/chemical processing experience preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Strong knowledge of CAD tools (Autodesk preferred)
  • Prior experience with SAP is beneficial
