Facilities and Logistics Assistant
Description

Overtown Youth Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate Facilities and Logistics Assistant to join our team. This vital role will provide high-quality professional support across key organizational functions, including Family Services, Program Services, and Developmental Services. The Facilities and Logistics Assistant will play a critical part in ensuring smooth daily operations, managing logistics, and supporting the coordination of program elements. This position is ideal for someone who is committed to empowering youth and families through holistic, community-focused services, while also ensuring that facilities and logistical needs are met efficiently to promote overall well-being and program success.    

  • Assist in routine maintenance and repair of the facility, ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and operational.  
  • Perform minor building repairs.  
  • Manage pickup, deliveries, and distributions of donations.  
  • Oversee the organization of inventory areas inside and outside the building.  
  • Assist with warehouse operations, including organization, disposals, and providing oversight to volunteers.  
  • Support facility-related projects such as renovations, office moves, and workspace reconfigurations.  
  • Assist with compliance of vehicles and other building-related requirements.  
  • Provide efficient logistical support across all departments.  
Requirements

 

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma required 
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) are necessary.  
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs.; occasionally more than 100 lbs. (with proper equipment).  
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong ability to adapt to changing needs. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass drug screening and Level 2 background check. 
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed.
