RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspection and disposition decision on all incoming components and labels by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests An inspection report will be filled out for each and the Certificate of Conformance will be included in files.
- Apply release stickers on components (OTC cans and labels) after inspection and releasing in SAP.
- Reconcile OTC components (cans and labels)
- Maintain standards for cans, valves, caps, and actuators.
- Initiate investigations for incoming componentry failing to meet incoming specification requirements and to follow up on vendor associated CAPAs.
- Trend vendor quality status and vendor issues
- Some vendor liaison is required if problems in quality arise, as well as with packaging purchaser and Production Control.
- Obtain Can Usage Forms from the line sheets submitted by supervisors or collect from the line.
- Participate in Quality Procedure training, as required.
- Records all results and data, release documents of C of A’s, ensure traceability of work.
- Communicates with Buyers and vendors for missing CPAs or specifications.
- Reports if any other certificates required.
- Prepare and update SOP’s and
- Perform OOS and NCR and investigate when required. Upload NCRs in smart sheet.
- Will work independently as well as with others in cooperative team effort. Other responsibilities as required.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION
- Diploma or Bachelor degree in Science, Quality Assurance or related discipline from a Canadian University or College or a foreign university with recognized Canadian equivalence.
- Relevant experience with drug, food and personal care products and cosmetics.
- Experience utilizing intermediate levels of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Word. Use of Microsoft Excel for data management & to prepare charts/graphs is preferred.
- Proficiency in SAP or equivalent MRP tools is preferred
- Aerosol experience is preferred and working knowledge of Health Canada and FDA regulations
