Join our team as a Building Maintenance Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of our facilities. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs to create a seamless and efficient environment. Your expertise will contribute to a well-maintained building that supports the needs of our occupants and enhances their experience.


Job Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Conduct repairs and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and building infrastructure.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls and resolve issues promptly.
  • Monitor and manage building automation systems to ensure efficiency and safety.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, monitor equipment performance and document building information.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and order parts as needed.
  • Participate in energy management and sustainability initiatives.
  • Inspect and maintain safety equipment and coordinate inspections such as fire alarms and extinguishers.
  • Collaborate with property management to plan and execute building improvements.
  • Conduct regular assessments of building conditions and report findings to management.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in building maintenance or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with building automation systems and energy management.
  • Ability to conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work on-call hours and respond to emergencies.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Certification in EPA, HVAC, or other relevant credentials is a plus
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects.
