Job Description

Within the pan-european Real Estate investment team, the successful candidate actively contributes to the execution of investment, disposition, and financing activities, in line with the strategic plan of the real estate team, for the entire European portfolio. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for managing existing assets and partnerships in the portfolio to optimize performance and ensure the execution of the business plan.

What you will do

  • Identify new investment, disposition, and partnership opportunities. Provide recommendations on pursuing investment projects, creating new partnerships, and financing structures;

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the due diligence process in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders;

  • Contribute to documentation for decision-making committees;

  • Participate in the implementation of legal and tax structures for investments to optimize returns and control risks;

  • Prepare legal documents with support from internal and external legal counsel;

  • Coordinate and participate in the financing and refinancing of portfolio investments;

  • Ensure compliance with transaction approval procedures in accordance with delegated authorities, policies, and current budgets;

  • Monitor and analyze investment projects, including financial analyses, by evaluating their strengths and weaknesses to issue recommendations to the executive team;

  • Develop and implement strategic objectives to optimize the performance of investments and assets under management;

  • Coordinate actions with investment and operating partners, and participate in meetings with internal teams, external consultants, brokers, and other stakeholders to advance business plans;

  • Maintain market and targeted asset class monitoring, and build a network of contacts (appraisers, brokers, managers, owners, etc.) to gather relevant information;

  • Develop and maintain relationships with market players (investors, advisors, brokers, developers, etc.);

  • Contribute to supervising and mentoring a team of analysts, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous development.

What you bring

  • Undergraduate degree in finance, business administration, real estate, accounting or any relevant field;

  • Around ten (10) to twelve (12) years of experience in real estate investment;

  • Good understanding of real estate legal documents (purchase and sale agreements, partnership and management agreements, financing, mortgages, leases, financial statements, etc.);

  • Solid understanding of investment and development processes;

  • Experience or strong interest in team management, coaching and resource development;

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Argus, Word, PowerPoint, etc.;

  • Availability for business travel internationally;

  • Mastery of English, both spoken and written;

  • Knowledge of French will be considered a strong asset, while additional knowledge of German or Spanish are a plus.
