We’re looking for a Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to bring leadership, accuracy, and strategic thinking to our growing finance team. This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional who enjoys rolling up their sleeves while also thinking big picture—managing day-to-day tasks while identifying opportunities to enhance processes, streamline systems, and support financial decision-making at scale.
What You’ll Do
- Lead general ledger reconciliations and prepare detailed journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.
- Manage payroll and sales/use tax filings, including state registrations and specialized compliance forms.
- Drive timely and accurate month-end close processes, including accruals, entries, and financial reviews.
- Oversee the network entries process, ensuring data integrity and operational efficiency.
- Serve as a backup to the Controller during time away, handling approvals and essential communications.
- Create and implement automations and enhancements to current accounting workflows and systems.
- Manage funds transfers across bank accounts and ensure all related general ledger activity is recorded appropriately.
- Analyze complex transactions, identify cleanup items, and ensure alignment across cash, GL, and revenue accounts.
- Support internal financial reporting and help facilitate a seamless year-end process with external auditors.
- Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures that ensure compliance and scalability.
- Take ownership of a wide range of accounting functions with professionalism and accountability.

- Strong command of GAAP and the ability to apply it in a dynamic, high-volume environment.

- SOC 1 and Fintech experience highly preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in public accounting or a financial services environment.
- Prior experience in payments or fintech accounting is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general ledger software; NetSuite preferred.
